mark-elliott.jpegMark has led a very long and interesting career in veterinary medicine. He qualified from the Bristol University Veterinary School in 1989 and immediately began studying at the Faculty of Homeopathy in London, achieving his qualification in 1996. Mark opened his first practice near Chichester, West Sussex in 1994. With popularity the practice grew to be one of the largest centres for alternative animal medicine in the UK and has also qualified the most homeopathic vets from one practice.

Mark continued to follow his passion and through research and study pursued further his specialised fields in homeopathy and acupuncture. In 2003 Mark opened the “Centre for Integrated and Holistic Medicine”. Mark had an aim to ‘achieve a balanced and complete restoration of health’ for each of his patients by considering all aspects of each case. Mark opened the current practice, Mark Elliott & Associates in 2011.

Mark has written a selection of books about homeopathy and the holistic care of animals and helped to establish acupuncture courses for vets across the UK. Mark is the Immediate past-President of the British Association of Homeopathic Veterinary Surgeons, and has also held a variety of posts in the profession, including having been elected for 3 terms to the Council of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. However, he prefers now to spend his time on his patients rather than politics.

In his spare time Mark enjoys an active involvement in conservation, having won a national award for his work as part of the West Sussex Biodiversity Project. He was also a founding trustee of the Arun and Rothers Rivers Trust and is now a Veterinary Advisor to the Game and Wildlife Conservation Trust.

Mark is a member of the Raw Feeding Veterinary Society.
