  • Oily fish are an important part of a healthy diet. They offer a range of nutrients, including Vitamin B12, Niacin, Riboflavin, Vitamin B6 and Vitamin D and Selenium. Omega 3 fatty acids are also present and play an important role in both physical and mental health and development. Omega 3’s help to develop and maintain a healthy brain, heart and skeleton. Including Omega 3’s in the diet can also help reduce inflammation in the body. Tripe is said to be the protein of choice for raw fed dogs. We use green tripe because of the unprocessed properties it possesses. This means that all the nutrients and digestive enzymes are at their most beneficial. Green tripe includes a range of nutrients, amino acids and essential fatty acids. A great advantage of green tripe is that it has a great calcium: phosphorus ratio of 1:1 and also ideal percentages of Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids. The bacteria Lactobacillus Acidophilus is present in green tripe, this is a good bacteria that works against detrimental bacteria (Salmonella, E Coli and Listeria), which therefore helps reduce the risk of health problems associated with them. The probiotics present in green tripe help to improve and maintain a healthy gut. This is why it is a valuable addition to the diet of dogs who suffer with digestive issues. Green tripe also contains digestive enzymes, these enzymes help to break down the food and enable it to be absorbed and utilised in the body.
