Feeding Adult Dogs Raw Food

We recommend feeding adult dogs twice a day, splitting their daily allowance equally over morning and evening meals.

The recommended amount per day for an adult is 2% - 3% but, you will need to monitor their weight and consider their age and activity levels. A dog that spends a lot of time outside may need a higher percentage.

If you have a working dog, we recommend feeding 3% - 6% when working; reducing this amount to 2% - 3% when not.

It is important to feed a variety of meals including: chicken, beef and lamb. We have a number of tripe meals that are lower in calories and the “Primal” meals include offal which is a very important part of a dog’s diet and you should try to feed this twice a week.

The Lamb meal is also ideal for dog’s that need to gain extra weight.

All our meals, with the exception of the “Naked” range for diy’ers, have vegetables, fruit and parsley, plus some other natural additives; cold press flax oil and Seagreens organic human food seaweed.

Supplementing WolfTucker meals with raw meaty bones

Wolf Tucker meals can be fed alone or with our raw meaty bones. As well as the nutritional benefits they allow a good workout from your dog’s head to the tip of his tail, pulling, stretching, gnawing, tearing and ripping at the bone.  They provide stimulation and also act as a natural toothbrush! This is of huge benefit to the rest of the body, many illnesses’ start from the mouth; this is where bacteria can enter the bloodstream and find its way to other parts of the body.

Quantity to feed neutered dogs

Neutered dogs and bitches have a tendency to increase fat stores from before they were neutered. A dog that may have once required 3% to maintain their ideal weight may only now require 2%. As ever, we recommend keeping a close watch on your newly neutered dogs closely so that you can adjust their intake as necessary.
